For 45 years, the Barbier-Mueller Museum has promoted knowledge of the arts and cultures of the world. During this exceptional charity evening, the museum invites th essayist Jacques Attali and the public to exchange ideas on Culture as a possible instrument for Peace.

Jacques Attali has conducted several orchestras throughout the world (Paris, Grenoble, London, Jerusalem, Shanghai, Astana, Helsinki). At the beginning of the evening, he will conduct the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, composed of 42 virtuoso musicians.

With the participation of the Saint-Pierre Cathedral choir, bringing together some sixty amateur choristers who are passionate about the Oratorio repertoire.

This unique concert will be followed by a conversation between Jacques Attali and the audience on the theme “Culture for Peace”, moderated by Pascal Schouwey (in French).

Proceeds from the event will benefit UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, which for more than 70 years has helped millions of people start their lives again, including refugees, stateless people, internally displaced persons and asylum seekers.
